This is going to be a great month for Fiber Arts Fans! I’m participating with the Team of Wonder for the Tour de Fleece which is a big change up for me. Usually I like to do something a little different each week but now I’m concentrating on spinning for the full Tour de France. Currently it’s just me and my trusty drop spindles but I’m enjoying every bit of it so far!
I purchased a Spinolution’s Echo Wheel from Tomorrow Farm and am patiently waiting for it to be hand built and shipped to moi! Speaking of Tomorrow Farm I just got a lovely package from them last night! A bar of great smelling handmade soap and a colorful hand painted 100% alpaca roving to use on my new wheel when it arrives! Thank You!

Awesome! Happy spinning to you. I am sooo not even going to attempt such a feat this year. Spinning has been such a challenge for me, and since I am in the middle of so many other challenges…I will wait for another year to try that but best of luck to my other fibery pals with this!

When I first saw the ball of roving, I thought is was our Earth, aka the world aka el Mundo. Now I see it’s a ball of alpaca roving…. AlpacaMundo! teehee.
Your spinning is so great on your homemade drop-spindle. I’m hoping to make something approaching that when I’m relegated to my drop spindle next week.

I’m excited that you are part of the team and that you are working with your drop spindle. My challenge days will be on the drop spindle because I don’t have the control I want for a nice yarn.
